You will take part in the day-to-day detail of running several charities, assist in managing aspects of several large fundraising events, and help coordinate pieces of each event on-site. We are very focused on networking and will teach you how to expand your own network. If there is not a position opening at our company at the time of graduation, we would be happy to introduce you to individuals who may be able to help you on your career path. This is an unpaid internship, however travel to and from work is reimbursed and we will buy you lunch from time to time. We prefer interns who are taking this internship for credit.Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for enthusiastic individuals in the NYC area who are self-motivated and interested in helping non-profit organizations succeed. The candidates should have strong writing and oral communication skills, and be proficient on the computer (Word and Excel – Database experience preferred).They must also value the importance of giving back to the community, and have a strong interest in fundraising and event management.Interns must commit to 20-40 hours per week for a minimum of twelve weeks.Flexible start date: August 31 or September 8.What Your Responsibilities Will BeIntern will work closely with senior management to assist in all aspects of the marketing, fundraising and event planning process, including database management and administrative work.The interns will work within a team setting and will also have individual responsibilities with regards to minimally supervised projects.How to ApplyIf interested please contact Arienne Orozco via email at arienne@poweredbyprofessionals.com and include your resume and cover letter.
