Apartment-style living at its best.

All students and interns residing at The Marymount Manhattan Residence live in apartment-style suites. Offering lots of light and great views, each suite has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a private bathroom, and can have up to 4 people per suite. Single and double bedrooms are available. 

Fully Furnished Rooms

As with all of our residences, your room at The Marymount Manhattan comes fully furnished with designer beds, desks, and wardrobes/dressers that maximize living space. Plus an in-suite dining area and free high-speed Internet means from day one you’ll never miss a beat. Whether you prefer a single, or double room, your comfort is our priority. The student housing also include 24-hour lounges, and a laundry room on the premises.

Suites can vary in size. Suites with larger bedrooms may contain extra sets of furniture. However, no suite will be booked with more than four people.

Sophistication, Siteseeing, and Shopping.

Study in one of the gorgeous reading rooms at the New York Public Library, catch an outdoor movie in Bryant Park, view some Picasso’s at the MoMA or great ‘outsider art’ at the American Folk Art Museum. Stop by St. Patrick’s Cathedral, or pick up great produce at a local farmer’s market and catch sight of the presidential convoy on its way to the UN.

Plus with Sony Music Entertainment and HBO headquarters just around the corner, you might find yourself bumping in to a high-powered producer or two. Midtown east is also home to some of the world’s most well known department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, and Bloomingdales. Of course, there are plenty of local restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, affordable clothing stores, banks, grocery stores, and pharmacies in the vicinity to choose from.

  • A double occupancy living space furnished with either captain’s beds with drawers or beds with dressers, desks, desk chairs and wardrobes or a closet.  A bathroom and refrigerator are also provided within the room. All residences except Marymount also provide a television in each room.

  • A larger version of a single-person living space furnished with a captain’s bed with drawers or bed with a dresser, desk, desk chair and wardrobe or closet.  A television, private bathroom, and refrigerator are also provided within the room (except Marymount).

Midtown East is loaded with all kinds of restaurants, boutiques, bookstores, cafes, grocery stores, pharmacies and banks. The Food Emporium and Grand Central Market, plus countless bodegas and delis promise easy access to great groceries and prepared food. There are also six movie theaters nearby to keep you entertained.

Public Transportation: The 4,5,6,N,Q,R,7, E, and M trains, the shuttle to Times Square, and Metro North Railroad.

    Yolanda Cruz

    Director of Student Life

    Yolanda Cruz is in charge of all buildings and around 5,000+ residents. Yolanda is a native of Houston Texas, she received a BS in Psychology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and she has been with Educational Housing Services since May of 2006. Previously, she was the Residence Director at the St. George/Clark residences for two years, and the Residence Director at the 1760 Third Avenue Residence.  Yolanda also does a lot of 'behind the scenes' work that is vital to EHS. Before joining EHS Yolanda was a Residence Director at Marymount Manhattan College, as well as a Residence Manager at Boston University.

    Taylor Rogers is a Forensic Psychology major at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and is originally from Youngstown, Ohio. Taylor enjoys watching Requiem for Dream and Workaholics while snacking on Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, but only after she’s had some Mac and Cheese. Taylor is a big fan of rap & hip hop music, sleeping, recreational reading, spending time outside, soccer, and listening to new music. She may seem like an introvert but she enjoys speaking to large groups of people. Taylor advises that you visit a New York City landmark, try as many kinds of food as you can, and make as many connections as possible.  “With EHS, you have a second family that is always there for you.”

    Jacqueline Aquino is a senior at the City University of New York, Baruch College. She is studying Public Affairs and Theatre and is currently interning with the New York City Council. When it's time to unwind she heads over to her hometown, Elmont, Long Island and watches old Disney movies with her brothers and her dog. Speaking of... Jackie spent all of fall 2015 working at the Magic Kingdom, as a part of the Disney College Program. Her favorite things to do in NYC are relaxing in Central Park and watching Broadway shows. One of her favorite things about living at EHS is being able to live in the greatest city on earth with people from all over the world.

    Alex Girard is working towards becoming a world traveler. Alex originally hails from New Hampshire and attends Stonehill College as a Marketing Major. He hopes to create a strong community during his time as an RA. He also hopes to strengthen his love for music by attending concerts and growing his collection of CDs and vinyl records. His favorite neighborhoods are The Village and Washington Square. Maybe you’ll see him around town.

    Kai Moses is a bubbly senior at Pace University. Although home schooled for seven years, she has travelled to many places as a part of the youth travelling dance troupe, Umoja. She is looking forward to many of the free festivals happening throughout the summer weekends in the city. You can find Kai in any one the EHS lounges socializing and making new friends.

    Daniel Tran is from Los Angeles, California, and currently attends Pace University. He is pursuing a degree in Economics with a minor in Computer Science and Statistics. He enjoys watching his favorite movie, “Cloud Atlas” or “Once Upon a Time” on TV. Daniel’s top music choices include Pop, Electronic, Alternative, and Rock. In his free time Daniel enjoys studying astrology and finding new ways to stay healthy, such as working out and cooking. Daniel likes living with EHS because, “there are activities in the building all the time and the staff is super friendly.” He suggests while you are here that you go on an adventure; the best way to learn the subway is to get lost once. Fun fact: Daniel is the middle cousin in his family (with 8 older cousins and 8 younger cousins) and the only cousin with no siblings and a single parent.
