Plus free high-speed Internet, TV with cable, refrigerator/microwave, and local phone service means from day one you’ll never miss a beat.
Whether you prefer a single, double, or triple room, your comfort is our priority. Every room has a private attached bathroom—something you won’t find in most college dorms—and downstairs you will have 24-hour access to computers and a quiet study lounge.
Yorkville is one of the most coveted and established neighborhoods in Manhattan, and home to gorgeous architecture and unparalleled fine-art institutions. Check out Van Gogh, Monet and Picasso at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; view the exquisite collections at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Guggenheim and the Whitney Museum of American Art. In the old Carnegie mansion you’ll find the Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design, and nearby you can discover 19th Century masters like Renoir and Rembrandt at the Frick. And don’t forget the Jewish Museum, the City of New York Museum, and the countless galleries you can explore.
Living here, you’ll also savor extraordinary affordable restaurants and specialty food shops on every block. Hi, my name is Samantha Neugebauer and I am one of the Residence Directors at the St. George! I started working here last August and am really excited to be a part of the diverse community of residents at EHS.
Yolanda Cruz is in charge of all buildings and around 5,000+ residents. Yolanda is a native of Houston Texas, she received a BS in Psychology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and she has been with Educational Housing Services since May of 2006. Previously, she was the Residence Director at the St. George/Clark residences for two years, and the Residence Director at the 1760 Third Avenue Residence. Yolanda also does a lot of 'behind the scenes' work that is vital to EHS. Before joining EHS Yolanda was a Residence Director at Marymount Manhattan College, as well as a Residence Manager at Boston University.
Irina Ostrozhnyuk joined EHS in the summer of 2010, and since then she has been a tremendous asset to the team. She has an undergraduate degree in Physics with a minor in Math and Secondary Education from Adelphi University, and a Master’s Degree from Baruch in Higher Education Administration. Before joining the EHS, Irina was a Building Manager for Residential Life at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Irina’s hometown is Kiev, Ukraine, and she always has a smile for the residents!
