Scavenger Hunt
Which residents will win?

Completed and opened in August 2007, the 55 John Street Residence brings EHS’s customized, first-rate amenities to the heart of New York City’s Financial District. Full of winding cobblestone streets and dazzling architecture, this is one of the most historic and fascinating neighborhoods in the city—and true to its name, this area is home to the New York Stock Exchange and Wall Street.
Residents at 55 John Street will also enjoy unmatched proximity to all of the city’s downtown destinations: TriBeCa, SoHo, South Street Seaport, Battery Park, the West Side Esplanade, and of course Pace University are all within walking distance.
All students and interns residing at 55 John Street live in double and triple-occupancy rooms with large windows and private bathrooms. You can play pool or catch your favorite TV show in the activities lounge, check your email on one of the public computers, practice your cooking techniques in one of three communal kitchens, or study for a test in the quiet lounge. A fully equipped fitness center is also available on-site for round-the-clock use.
As with all of our residences, your room at 55 John Street comes fully furnished with designer beds, desks, and wardrobes/dressers that maximize living space. Plus free high-speed Internet, TV with cable, refrigerator/microwave, and local phone service means from day one you’ll never miss a beat. Whether you prefer a double or triple room, your comfort is our priority.
Many affordable restaurants and retail stores coexist among the neighborhood’s more extravagant options and provide great New York City activities. Visit the famous graves at historic Trinity Church; board an antique ship that has been converted into a floating museum at South Street Seaport; watch the construction at the new World Trade Center site; eat dim sum in Chinatown; check out modern art at the New Museum; or take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry.
In nearby TriBeCa you just might bump into a famous actor on your way to a movie; you can taste authentic gelato in famed Little Italy; there are a wealth of high and low-end retail stores in SoHo; and the West Side Esplanade is a perfect place to ride a bike or jog.
With a generous selection of subways nearby—including the 4, 5, A, C, J, Z, 2, 3, N, and R trains. 55 John Street residents are just one stop from Brooklyn and never far from any of the city’s other cultural treasures.
