Are you leaving us soon? We hope not but if so here are the checkout procedures for EHS residents. Any resident who may be leaving but lives here through your school should contact your school directly.  We have enjoyed having you here and we hope to see you again.

When checking out of your building, be sure to schedule a check out time in the Student Life Office prior to your departure date. Schedule your appointment at least 72 hours in advance! The check-out appointment will only take about 10-15 minutes. A Resident Advisor will come up to your room and inspect it to see if the condition of the room has changed since your move-in. Before the appointment, you’ll need to have all of your items packed, trash thrown away, and the room will need to be clean. After the RA has inspected your room, you’ll need to turn in your mailbox key (if you received one) and your ID card. If applicable, provide credit card information to the EHS staff member that checks you out for any damages and unpaid fees/fines. For a list of charges and more information about check-out procedures, please log in your EHS Member’s only website and look under the Departure information section. If you are having problems login in the website email MyEHS@studenthousing.org.

Be prepared for a Pre-Check-Out room inspection by an EHS staff starting the week of December 12th. This will help expedite your check out process.

Keep In Mind That…

1. Failure to make an appointment for a room inspection will result in an ‘Improper Check Out' fee to be applied to your account.
2. After you depart, EHS will no longer accept any mail or packages in your name. Any current mail/packages you fail to retrieve from us will be returned to the sender at your own expense. To change your address you should stop by the closest Post Office to obtain a change of address form.
3. If you need an extension for a later departure date and you booked directly with EHS you must contact us at 212-977-7622 or by e-mail us at  StudentLife@studenthousing.org no later than Friday, December 16th by 5pm.***
