    Christy Gaiti-Chatfield

    VP of Student Life

    Christy Gaiti-Chatfield leads EHS's efforts to help residents maximize their New York City experience. Along with her staff Christy designs the countless recreational programs and opportunities for residents to meet one another and explore the wonders of New York safely, conveniently and affordably. Prior to arriving at EHS, Christy was responsible for the Residence Life department and eventually became the Dean of Students at Marymount Manhattan College. She has a Masters Degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from New York University and Bachelor Degrees in both Psychology and Social Work from Widener University.

    Yolanda Cruz

    Yolanda Cruz is in charge of all buildings and around 5,000+ residents. Yolanda is a native of Houston Texas, she received a BS in Psychology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and she has been with Educational Housing Services since May of 2006. Previously, she was the Residence Director at the St. George/Clark residences for two years, and the Residence Director at the 1760 Third Avenue Residence.  Yolanda also does a lot of 'behind the scenes' work that is vital to EHS. Before joining EHS Yolanda was a Residence Director at Marymount Manhattan College, as well as a Residence Manager at Boston University.

    Maria Giraldo

    Coordinator of Student Life

    Maria Giraldo graduated from Baruch College in 2008 with a BBA in International Marketing and joined EHS in the summer 2007. Since then, she has been involved in every aspect of the Student Life Department. She works closely with everyone upgrading systems, planning activities for all residents, assisting students, and working very close with the Vice President of Student Life to provide support to all residences. Maria coordinates all aspects of the department from events to check-ins, and is the to go person in the department. While her office is in the Clark corporate office, you can find her at all of the EHS residences lending a hand.

    Brian graduated from Adelphi University in with a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts Psychology. He joined EHS at the end of 2009 as an Administrative Assistant for the Student Life department and provided support to the St. George Residence assisting the residents of the buildings alongside the RAs and RDs with any issues or questions they may have.  He also provided administrative/creative support to the corporate, leasing and finance offices. Outside of EHS he enjoys playing music in wedding and community orchestras, and teaching dance at small dance schools in the city.

    Nicholas Severson

    Nicholas Severson graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He oversees the 1300 residents that reside in the three St. George residences and also lives there himself!  Nicholas helps ensure that the residence looks great at all times for the residents and their guests.  Additionally, he serves as the co-supervisor and mentor to the Resident Advisors. Nicholas works in the residence and is available to meet with residents throughout the day.  Before joining EHS in 2009, Nicholas was a Residence Director at State University Stony Brook University.

    Samantha Neugebauer

    Samantha joined EHS in Fall 2011 and she is very happy to be a part of such an exciting Student Life Department and get to know students from many different NYC colleges and universities. In May 2011, she earned her Masters Degree in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, she received her Bachelors Degree from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she concentrated on the American Dream through the dynamics of literature, education, and socio-economics. Before joining EHS, Samantha worked at the graduate halls at Penn and as an RA at NYU. Outside of EHS, Samantha enjoys writing poetry and fiction, exploring cities, and promoting college access and girls’ education. In addition, she is also a part of a 24 hour on-call rotation with other staff members in the St. George Residence.

    James D. Wojtkiewicz

    New Yorker Residence

    James Wojtkiewicz joined the EHS New Yorker staff in August 2011.  As a New Jersey native, James received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Education from Monmouth University where he began his career in student life as a Resident Assistant.  After graduating from Monmouth University, James began his professional career in student life at Drew University as a Complex Residence Director.  During his four and a half years, James obtained his Masters of Letters (Liberal Arts) degree, as well as completed his coursework for his Doctor of Letters (Liberal Arts) degree. James is also a certified teacher for Social Studies in NJ.  James has posted office hours and is part of a 24 hour on-call rotation with other staff members.  James works closely with all of the schools and companies to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. He, along with all the other Residence Directors, works to ensure that each student is living in a secure, successful, and thriving living environment.

    Irina Ostrozhnyuk

    Irina Ostrozhnyuk joined EHS in the summer of 2010, and since then she has been a tremendous asset to the team. She has an undergraduate degree in Physics with a minor in Math and Secondary Education from Adelphi University, and a Master’s Degree from Baruch in Higher Education Administration. Before joining the EHS, Irina was a Building Manager for Residential Life at the Fashion Institute of Technology.  Irina’s hometown is Kiev, Ukraine, and she always has a smile for the residents!

    Keri-ann Byers

    New Yorker Residence

    Keri-ann Byers has been with EHS since May of 2008, and was an Resident Advisor for two years with EHS before becoming an Residence Director in the summer of 2010.  She grew up in Middletown, NJ, and graduated from Pace University with a BA degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Keri-ann co-supervises and mentors the RAs at the New Yorker and assists residents around the clock.  Keri-ann resides in the New Yorker and is always available to the residents.
