Student Life Intern

Responsible to:

Director of Student Life

Responsible for:

•Providing assistance to the Department generally in maintaining product and customer awareness and techniques at EHS. •Recognizing that the key to achievement is continued commitment to client satisfaction. This continued focus provides the basis for sustained success in all facets of the organization.

General Description:

•Work on several assigned projects that will help enhance the residents’ experience •Greeting walk-ins to the EHS offices, and answering telephone calls from prospective residents, key clients, and vendors, and distributing them appropriately; checking the general Voicemail mailbox and distributing the calls appropriately •Plan and execute events •You will be called upon to interface with management, students and potential customers •Working on the software programs used by the Department, such as Outlook and RMS and TMA •Promoting a culture of continuous improvement is all aspects of Educational Housing Services •Write articles for newsletters and provide support for social networking sites •Performing other duties as may be assigned to enhance development of student life and the best interests of EHS and its affiliates

Requirements:

•Some Weekend and evenings hours may be required. •20 Hour Work Week •Familiar with computers; experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred. Good phone manner and prior office experience. •Interest in working in with College Students possibly in the field of College Personnel Administration of Higher Education or within the Hotel Industry

Marketing Intern

Responsible to:

VP of Leasing and Marketing

Responsible for:

•Working in conjunction with the Marketing Staff, as well as other EHS staff as appropriate, to develop relationships within the Student and Intern Housing business •Working with the Marketing staff to expand EHS brand identity among students, schools and businesses, as well as to continue expansion of the brand among current and past EHS residents.

Job Overview:

General Description:

•In association with the Director of Marketing monitor trends and identify opportunities in the North American Student Housing Market •Provide support for the implementation and successful launch of the EHS alumni network and related marketing programs. •Research and develop new strategies through social network outlets such as facebook, in an effort to raise awareness of EHS within student communities •Assist with monitoring and guidance of the twitter account, Youtube site, student blogging site, and other student related initiatives. •Develop selected student profiles for use in media relations activities, as well as develop and maintain relations with school and local newspapers to report newsworthy student accomplishments and activities. •Write articles of student interest for future EHS newsletters •Assist with marketing materials, student materials, mailers and related databases, electronic information. Assist with scheduling as well as execution of grassroots marketing initiatives. •Perform such other duties as may be assigned to enhance development of student life and the best interests of EHS. •Promote a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the Student Housing Center.

Requirements:

•Demonstrated interest in and experience with Marketing and student issues, either through undergraduate degree coursework or extra-curricular involvement •Knowledge of and at least intermediate experience in all Microsoft Office tools •Good communication skills and strong interest in social media and digital marketing •Some evening and weekend hours may be required •Students only - junior, senior or graduate status •Schedule will be for 15 or 20 hours per week, to be determined at time of hire ** For immediate consideration, please e-mail resume, writing sample, and cover letter. Marketing Coordinator

Responsible to:

VP of Leasing and Marketing

Responsible for:

• Providing assistance to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales specifically, and secondarily to the Department generally, in maintaining sales awareness and techniques across departments at EHS. • Recognizing that the key to achievement is continued commitment to client satisfaction. This continued focus provides the basis for sustained success in all facets of the organization.

Job Overview:

• Schedule meetings and provide administrative support for VP of Leasing & Marketing and marketing staff • Coordinate with Director of Marketing in planning and scheduling of promotional events • Greetings walk-ins to the EHS offices, and answering telephone calls from prospective residents, key clients, and vendors, and distributing them appropriately; checking the general Voicemail mailbox and distributing the calls appropriately • Compiling and maintaining accurate reporting of marketing initiatives to include processes, target demographic, cost, and results • Using the software programs used by EHS, such as Salesforce and RMS to assist with reservations, posting payments, and generating various reports needed • Preparation and maintenance of presentations for prospective clients • Follow up with prospective and existing clients/partners • Assist with referral letters/packets • Assist in the production of collateral including brochures and information kits • Track locations of print and online advertisements • Inventory control and ordering of marketing materials • Coordinate with all advertising agencies on marketing initiatives as directed • Keep accurate updates on numerous advertising activities to include digital marketing and social media campaigns • Stay current with digital and social media trends and research new opportunities for marketing and advertising campaigns • Coordinate mailings to include delivery distribution and results • Contribute to the production and distribution of e-marketing campaigns • Coordinate data entry, cleanup, and update templates as needed • Assist in writing the license agreements, contract and related financial documents • Maintain an awareness of all issues relating to student life and housing in and around EHS residence locations • Work with other departments in various EHS events such as open houses, career fairs, and others • Filing, faxing, scanning, updating documents, and periodically being called upon to interface with management, students and potential customers. • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the Student Housing Center, and EHS on the whole. • Perform such other duties as may be assigned to enhance development of marketing and the best interests of EHS and its affiliates.

Requirements:

• Expertise with computers to include Microsoft Office suite. Extensive knowledge and interest in social media networking, blogging, and other online initiatives. • Must be extremely detail oriented in order to keep extensive reports on current projects and status. Good phone manner, writing skills and prior office experience also a must. • Minimum of Associate’s Degree required.

Housing Advisor

Responsible to:

Director of Leasing

Responsible for:

Converting leads and enquiries into reservations for our available properties; as a secondary responsibility, providing customer service support to all students both in person and face to face in the reservations department.

General Description:

• Follow up leads in a timely and professional manner with the goal of maximising conversions to a reservation. • Process payments from students in accordance with agreed guidelines. • Coordinate in a timely and professional manner with students and parents regarding all aspects of student housing. • Document all actions and correspondence as appropriate in RMS and Salesforce. • Set up residence tours cooperatively with the appropriate Property Managers. • Assist in all aspects of the sales and customer service functions day to day operations. • Maintain an awareness of all issues relating to student life and housing in and around the residence locations. • Promote a culture of continuous improvement is all aspects of sales and customer service. • Perform such other duties as may be assigned to enhance development of student life and the best interests of EHS.

Requirements:

• College graduate or equivalent educational and work experience. • Proven track record in sales and customer service required. • May be required to work evening and/or weekend hours • Must present themselves in professional manner with good phone etiquette • Posses exemplary follow up skills • Computer experience mandatory; familiarity with Microsoft Office programs preferred.
