I Swear, It's A Conspiracy

I only work three days a week and was psyched to be able to sleep in today. I figured Trischa would come in from her evening events somewhere between 5 am and 8 am per usual. But, it would be fine; and after the interruption I could go back to sleep until a more reasonable hour. When I was woken up by a knock on the door I just leaned precariously out of bed and unlocked it. Truth be told, I was back in bed with my eyes closed before she even entered the room.

"Lock yourself out again?" I asked, pulling the covers up over my head. We still don't have blinds so it's a miracle I can sleep at all in the mornings.
"Uhh" was the reply.
"Have a good night?" I figured if she was going to wake me up by coming in this early, I should at least get an interesting story out of it.
"Um." It was the kind of noise that tends to be followed by bad news. It was the kind of "um" that made me un-bury my head. But she didn't say anything else, so I wasn't compelled to actually open my eyes and look at her.
"Well, did you?" I asked impatiently, she was waking me up, wasn't going to tell me the story, and didn't even have the decency to apologize for disturbing me?
"Yeah?" That wasn't Trischa's voice...

It turned out I'd been having a conversation with the guy who had come to install the blinds.  He, however, had had a decent night, would come back later with the blinds, and was sorry he'd woken me, and by the way it's 9:30. I decided I might as well get up and wait for him to come back and install the blinds before going back to sleep. As it is, this is the longest I've slept un-interrupted since getting here -- I swear, it's a conspiracy!

The next thing I knew, I was at the gym. So remember how because of EHS I have a free gym membership? Well not only is this membership free, but it’s also not to any rinky-dink hotel gym. This is a membership to Eastern Athletics Club. There are beautiful amenities (hard wood floors and big open spaces), nine million different machines, great separate areas, and the staff is helpful if not especially friendly. I worked out for an hour and then spent another half hour just walking around exploring. They also have a crazy list of classes ranging from prenatal yoga to High Intensity Kick Boxing. I am psyched to try Broadway dancing (despite its unfortunate scheduling). So hopefully I will stay this inspired, especially because the gym, the Eastern Athletic Club is just around the corner from me.
