In the past three weeks I've been a surprise attendant at a violin concert, a flute recital, a rap showdown (and while I'm sure there's a more correct name for that, I certainly don't know it) not to mention several drum sessions and a handful of guitar performances. All of these people were just living, some of them trying to make some money, some there just for the joy of it, one of them even had little dolls that danced in front of him while he played! Dear poor college students, for a free music experience (that fits into your schedule) spend time in the New York City subways. |
