Get to EHS

We have created the below directions to help you get to your new home.

Taxi:

Ground Transportation Information is available in the baggage claim/arrival areas of all terminals unless indicated as "Private Car/Limousine/Van Service" or "Taxi". Taxi Dispatch Stands are conveniently located outside on the arrivals level of every terminal. A uniformed Taxi Dispatcher will place you in the first available yellow, medallion taxicab. The Taxi Dispatcher will give you a ticket indicating the date, terminal and taxicab medallion number. Please keep this ticket for referrals regarding lost property, complaints and compliments.

John F Kennedy Airport:
Taxis into the city take anywhere from 30-60 minutes. They cost $52 "Flat Fare" plus bridge tolls and tip to Manhattan (price might change without notice - Taxis are regulated by the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission).

LaGuardia Airport:
Taxis from LaGuardia cost approximately $30 - $40. (Price might change without notice - Taxis are regulated by the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission).

Other

Newark Airport: The AirTrain offers connecting service to NJ Transit and Amtrak trains which will bring you into Manhattan. Surprisingly, this can actually be much quicker than taking a cab or bus, and it is much more affordable. $12.50 one way will bring you from Newark Airport to Penn Station. AirTrain connects the NJ Transit "Newark Airport Station" to the airport terminals. Please check NJ Transit train schedule for times.

John F Kennedy Airport: The AirTrain offers connecting service to the MTA Subway which will bring you into Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Take the AirTrain to connect effortlessly with NYC subways or the Long Island Rail Road to your destination. Please check the MTA and AirTrain schedules for times.

• Please do not leave your car unattended, as it can be ticketed by NYPD.
• All residents must go to the Student Life Office on the 15th Floor (Room 1545) to complete the check-in process.

Room Assignment Information

Room Assignment Information

In a shared room/suite, Female and Male rooms are assigned to residents whose gender identity aligns with the gender of that room. Selecting Neutral allows residents to reside with other residents regardless of gender identity, sex or gender expression.

Subject to availability. All 9 month reservations require 30% plus Membership Fee at the time of reservation, with 30% due by 8/1 and the final 40% due by 12/1.

4. Provide Guarantor Information

A guarantor is a person over the age of 21, usually a parent, who agrees to be responsible if you are ever unable to fulfill the financial obligations of your housing agreement. If you can't get a parent to be a guarantor, the next best bet would be a relative or friend.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

To ensure the integrity of your reservation, all cancellation requests MUST be received by EHS through DocuSign or sent via certified or registered mail (to 55 Clark Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201, Attention: Director of Leasing). Your request MUST be processed by DocuSign by 11:59 pm New York City Time, or postmarked on or before the cancellation deadlines set forth above. Cancellation requests processed or postmarked after the deadline or sent via a different method will result in NO REFUND of monies paid.

If there is a guarantor (required for 9 and 12 month reservations), the guarantor will be responsible to guarantee payment pursuant to the License Agreement and the Guaranty.

The client also understands that the Membership Fee is NONREFUNDABLE and NONTRANSFERABLE.

All refunds are processed via check within 8-10 weeks and mailed to the client.
